Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again pinpointed Pakistan for its role in terrorism. Addressing a news channel's event on Wednesday, PM Modi referenced the Indian Air Force's Balakot airstrike on February 26, 2019, in response to the Pulwama terror attack, stating that the 'New India' does not endure the suffering of terrorism, but teaches a lesson to those who inflict such violence. He proclaimed that the condition of those who have sponsored terror attacks against India is now evident to the entire world.
PM Modi acknowledged that nations, whether they are protectors of terrorism or seekers of progress and peace, have observed the rising stature of India. He affirmed, 'The New India does not suffer terrorism in silence; it reprimands those who resort to such attacks. The countrymen, as well as the world, are witnessing what has become of those who have perpetrated terrorist assaults on us.'
PM Modi stated that his government is publicly presenting the performance report of the last 10 years. He noted, 'We are forging a roadmap for the next 25 years and are planning for the opening 100 days of our third term.'
It is noteworthy that the Lok Sabha (parliamentary) elections will be conducted in seven phases between April 19 and June 1, as announced by the Election Commission, along with state assembly elections in four states. Expressing confidence in the NDA's return to power post-elections, PM Modi said the government is laying out plans for the long-term future, cracking down on corruption by using technology, making it easier to trace the corrupt, as transactions become more transparent, and unearthing hoards of cash from under beds and behind walls.
PM Modi highlighted that 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty in the last decade. He celebrated India's ascent from the 10th to the 5th largest economy, its foreign exchange reserves surpassing 700 billion dollars, and the rapid increase in exports. He acknowledged, 'Much more needs to be done. Today, the world is regarding the 21st century as India's century. Major rating agencies and economists are confident about India's growth. Why aren't they raising any questions? Because the whole world is witnessing the transformative changes India has undergone in the past decade.'
