Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tamil Nadu on Thursday evening, commencing his meditation session at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. According to reports, he sat down to meditate at 6:45 PM and will continue for the next 45 hours. Before this spiritual retreat, PM Modi visited the Bhagavathi Amman Temple for darshan and prayers.

PM Modi to Observe Silence, Will Only Consume Liquids

The Prime Minister's meditation began at 6:45 PM. During these next 45 hours, his sustenance will only be coconut water, grape juice, and other liquid foods. He will not leave the meditation chamber and will maintain silence throughout.

After reaching Tamil Nadu on Thursday, PM Modi first paid reverence at the Bhagavathi Amman Temple near Vivekananda Rock Memorial, where he has now settled into meditation for nearly two days. Before his departure on 1st June, he may also visit the statue of the saint Thiruvalluvar. Both the memorial and statue are situated on separate small islands amidst the sea, formed by unique rocky structures.

With heavy security arrangements in place, PM Modi's 45-hour stay on the island-based memorial has been meticulously planned. BJP leaders stated that after concluding the election campaign for the Lok Sabha, PM Modi would engage in meditation at the Rock Memorial built in honor of Swami Vivekananda. Previously, post the 2019 election campaign, the PM had undertaken a similar retreat in the Kedarnath cave.
