Amid the election season, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply criticized the opposition during an election rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. It is the first time in 42 years that a prime minister has held a public meeting in Doda. During this rally, PM Modi emphasized that the transformative changes in Jammu and Kashmir are a result of the government's concerted efforts over the past decade. He stated that terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is now counting its last breaths.

PM Modi remarked that dynastic politics had hollowed out the beautiful Jammu and Kashmir, and political parties only cared about their own children. He stressed that this election is a contest between the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and three dynastic families.

Looking pleased with the crowd, PM Modi said, 'You have come here from different parts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban. You traveled for hours to be here, yet there is no sign of fatigue on your faces, only enthusiasm all around. Your love and blessings will drive me to work twice or thrice as hard for you and the country. Together, we will build a safe and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.'

The Prime Minister noted, 'Nowadays, some people keep the constitution in their pocket, using it to hide their misdeeds. But the reality is known to every child in Jammu and Kashmir. They had torn the soul out of the constitution created by Baba Saheb. Why did Jammu and Kashmir operate under two constitutions? Why were the rights enjoyed by the rest of the country not available to the people here? And why didn't our people from the hills get reservations for so many years? These people never even mentioned SC/ST or OBC in Jammu and Kashmir.'

In a sharp attack on the opposition, PM Modi said, 'After many generations, it is the BJP government that has granted reservations. Today, many people are voting for the first time. India's constitution gives everyone the right to vote, but those who carried the constitution in their pocket robbed this right from some of you for 75 years.'

Terrorism Counting Its Final Breaths

PM Modi added, 'Remember the times when an undeclared curfew would be in place here at dusk. Even the then Union Home Minister of the Congress government was afraid to visit Lal Chowk. Now, terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is gasping for its last breaths. The changes in the past 10 years are nothing short of a dream. The stones that were once raised to target the police and military are now building a new Jammu and Kashmir.'

PM Modi stated that granting full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir will also be the work of the BJP government. However, you must be cautious of those who have repeatedly taken your rights for their selfish gains.

Criticizing the Opposition

Targeting the opposition parties, PM Modi said, 'The political parties you've trusted here have disregarded your children's future. They only advanced their own children. The youth of Jammu and Kashmir were caught in the crossfire of terrorism while these dynastic parties misled you, enjoying their privileges. They never let new leadership emerge in Jammu and Kashmir. This election will determine the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir. Since independence, our beloved Jammu and Kashmir has been targeted by foreign forces. Following this, the beautiful state was hollowed out by dynastic politics.'

Attacking Congress, PDP, and National Conference

Targeting Congress, PDP, and National Conference, PM Modi said, 'There were no Panchayat elections here after 2000, and BDC elections never took place. For decades, dynastic politics prevented the children and talented youth of this region from moving forward. After coming to power in 2014, we focused on bringing new leadership from the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. In 2018, Panchayat elections were held, BDC elections were conducted in 2019, and in 2020, DDC elections were held for the first time. These elections aimed to bring democracy to the grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir.'

PM Modi further said, 'This year, the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election will be a contest between three dynasties and the ambitious youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The three dynasties of Congress, National Conference, and PDP are standing against the aspirational youth of Jammu and Kashmir. These families are responsible for the decades of devastation in Jammu and Kashmir. They have been involved in corruption, and you had to fight for your basic needs. These families have laid the foundation for terrorism and insurgency in the valley. For their personal gains, they have provided a safe haven for the proliferation of terrorism.'
