Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi curtailed his Saudi Arabia visit to return to India. On his return, his aircraft took a different route than the one used for his journey to Saudi Arabia.
During his trip to Saudi Arabia, PM Modi's flight had passed over Pakistan’s airspace. However, on the return journey from Jeddah to New Delhi, the aircraft did not fly over Pakistan.
The map below illustrates that while PM Modi's plane flew through Pakistan's airspace on his journey to Saudi, it avoided it on the way back, entering India via the side of Oman.
In the first image, you can see PM Modi's IAF Boeing 777-300 (K7067) used Pakistani airspace en route to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, passing through the paths of Pakistan and Oman.

The second image, taken on Wednesday, shows the aircraft avoiding Pakistani airspace because PM Modi returned urgently to Delhi after the terror attack. On the return, PM Modi’s plane entered Indian territory straight from Oman and flew via Gujarat and Rajasthan to reach Delhi.

Notably, a major terrorist attack occurred in Pahalgam’s Baisaran on Tuesday, claiming 26 lives, with several injured hospitalized. The attackers deliberately targeted tourists, sparking national outrage. Security forces have launched search operations to capture the terrorists. As a response to this attack, PM Modi decided to cut short his two-day state visit to Saudi Arabia and return to India.
