Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a rousing speech in Barmer, Rajasthan on Friday, where he launched a scathing critique of the Congress and the India coalition's election manifesto. Modi emphasized, 'The coalition partners of India seek to disarm the country’s nuclear capabilities. I question their allegiance and under whose influence they propose to weaken India’s defenses.'

The Union That Wants to Weaken India

Speaking to a captivated crowd in Barmer, Rajasthan, PM Modi highlighted the questionable imprints of the Muslim League in the Congress party’s manifesto and condemned another party within the India coalition for wanting to dismantle India’s nuclear strength. 'When our neighbors are equipped with nuclear weapons, should we renounce ours? What kind of coalition is this that wants to debilitate India?' he queried.

Modi posed the audience a strategic question about the allegiances of these coalition partners, further questioning their motives behind promoting policies that seemingly weaken the nation. He also criticized the Congress for boycotting the construction of the Ram Temple, sheltering perpetrators of stone-pelting at a Ram Navami procession in Rajasthan, and welcoming infiltrators while opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) that aims to grant citizenship to persecuted non-Muslims from neighboring countries.

Constitution is as Pious as Scriptures for Us

Further, Modi accused Congress of deceiving the public about the Constitution. He confidently asserted that not even Dr. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, could dissolve it. 'Our Constitution is our Gita, our Ramayana, our Bible, and our Quran. This election strengthens our democracy. The Congress, despite ruling for over five decades, failed to resolve prominent issues,' said Modi.

Congress Opposes Every Act Beneficial to the Nation: PM Modi

The Prime Minister praised efforts to elevate neglected segments of society, like opening Eklavya Model Residential Schools for tribal children and campaigns to eradicate sickle cell anemia. He censured Congress for opposing actions in the nation’s interest and aligning with anti-national forces. '[The Congress's] approach is inherently anti-development. They deliberately kept border villages underdeveloped, whereas we consider these not as the last but as the foremost villages of our country,' he claimed.

Modi concluded by criticizing the Congress-led government's corruption and mishandling of the Jal Jeevan Mission and the ERCP project meant to bring water to drought-stricken Rajasthan. 'The sons and daughters of Rajasthan have nourished the nation with their blood, yet the Congress left them thirsting for water,' he lamented.
