Awarded for elevating the bilateral relations between India and Ethiopia and for his visionary leadership as a global statesman. The ceremony took place at the Addis International Convention Center.
While accepting the award, Prime Minister Modi expressed pride in receiving this honor from Ethiopia, one of the world's most ancient civilizations. He dedicated this award to everyone who has strengthened the ties between India and Ethiopia over the years. PM Modi stated that he humbly accepts it on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians.
On social media platform 'X', the Prime Minister also shared his sentiments about the honor, sharing that being awarded the 'Grand Honor Nishan of Ethiopia' is a matter of pride for him, and he dedicates it to the 1.4 billion people of India.
