Ride-hailing service provider Rapido has announced the launch of a new bike service, 'Pink Rapido,' exclusively in Karnataka with female drivers, aimed specifically for women. The company plans to initiate this service by the end of this year in Karnataka.

During the Global Investors Summit, Rapido Co-founder Pawan Guntupalli revealed this vision and shared that they aim to provide employment for 25,000 women, allowing them to become Rapido Bike Captains. Empowering women with the choice of a safe journey with an unfamiliar driver marks their success.

According to news agency PTI, Guntupalli emphasized that this initiative isn't just about job creation, but also about offering a safe and empowering work environment for women. Numerous safety measures have been implemented to ensure secure travel. Even women without higher education or specific skills are getting job opportunities through this initiative.

He mentioned that around 35% of their employees hail from small towns and cities. It is a matter of pride that women are finding employment not just in bustling urban areas, but in smaller towns as well. Guntupalli sent a message to budding entrepreneurs, stating that one person can initiate change, but together, a revolutionary transformation can be achieved. Keep moving forward, and new opportunities will naturally unfold.
