June 27 and September 10... These are the two dates when the two Presidential debates for the election occurred. The candidates were different, the cities were different, the channels were different, and so were the outcomes. The first debate between Trump and Biden left Biden quite embarrassed as Republican Trump fully dominated Democrat Biden. However, the second debate presented entirely different circumstances. After Biden withdrew from the race, Kamala Harris entered the debate as the presidential candidate and changed the entire game. But how?
The debate on September 10 in Philadelphia, USA, turned out to be a lifeline for the Democratic Party. Kamala Harris managed the situation better than Biden during the Presidential Debate. She tried to pin Trump down on every front.
Neither Biden Nor Trump
During the debate, when Trump tried to dominate Kamala Harris, she looked him straight in the eyes and firmly stated that she was neither Biden nor Trump. She was Kamala Harris, with a plan to pave the way for a new America. Her confidence and candidness were greatly appreciated by the audience.
A Confident Harris vs. an Elderly and Fatigued Biden
In the June 27 debate, 78-year-old Trump was up against the 81-year-old Joe Biden. Everyone is aware of Biden's poor health and age-related ailments. Throughout the debate, Biden appeared tired and lost. But this time, Trump's opponent was 59-year-old Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris entered the debate brimming with confidence and benefited from her candidness and quick wit.
No Opportunity for Domination
The assertiveness missing in the Biden-Trump debate was completed by Kamala Harris in this debate. Harris repeatedly stated that Trump had no plan and only spoke of himself and his wealth. She responded to Trump in his own language, even during mic-off moments, communicating through her expressions. Her statements were clear, silently refuting Trump's false claims.
No Stone Unturned in Debate Rehearsal
Kamala Harris practiced for the debate for five days in a Philadelphia hotel, whereas Trump claimed he no longer needed special preparation, being an expert in such debates. However, Harris prepared meticulously with the help of a method actor.
