The atmosphere between India and Pakistan is tense, resembling a state of war. Pakistan has been targeting India with attacks, and India has responded with fitting measures. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to release the former Prime Minister of Pakistan from prison.

Amid heightened tensions with India, a petition was filed in a Pakistani court on Friday to release Imran Khan from jail, noting the potential threat of a drone attack at his detention facility.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan's party, announced via WhatsApp that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, has approached the Islamabad High Court for his release. Considering the current situation with India and for national harmony, the party pleads for Khan’s immediate release on parole.

Imran Khan, aged 72, is currently imprisoned in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail. Pakistan attempted multiple assaults near India’s western border on the night of May 8-9, as retaliation for Operation Sindhurakshak. Employing drones and other weapons, Pakistan sought to target Indian boundaries and perpetrated several ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The military reported that all drone intrusions under Operation Sindhurakshak were successfully neutralized, and robust responses were provided to the ceasefire violations. The forces have affirmed their commitment to take all necessary actions to safeguard Indian borders and will not tolerate any malicious intents.

In response to India’s anti-terror Operation Sindhurakshak, a disgruntled Pakistan attempted attacks on up to 15 Indian cities from Jammu to Jaisalmer. However, the Indian military thwarted these assaults effectively.
