Pakistan Complains About Arshdeep Before Asia Cup Final

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. PCB alleges that Arshdeep made 'objectionable' gestures towards the spectators. Pakistani news website Geo TV has reported on this matter.

The report claims that the incident occurred on September 21, after the conclusion of the Pakistan-India Super-4 match in the Asia Cup 2025, where Arshdeep allegedly made inappropriate gestures towards the spectators. In its complaint, PCB stated that Arshdeep violated the ICC's Code of Conduct. According to the complaint, Arshdeep's behavior was unethical and damaged the game's reputation. PCB is demanding stern action against the Indian fast bowler for breaching the Code of Conduct.

Following recent field disputes between India and Pakistan, Indian captain Surya Kumar Yadav and Haris Rauf were found guilty of violating the ICC's Code of Conduct. Both Suryakumar Yadav and Haris Rauf were fined 30%. Both BCCI and PCB challenged the decision.

Keep in mind, during Asia Cup 2025, Suryakumar Yadav dedicated India's group match victory against Pakistan to the victims of the Pahalgam attack and the Indian Army. Meanwhile, PCB labeled Surya's statement politically motivated, filing a complaint with the ICC. The Indian captain made the statement while keeping fans' emotions in mind, causing deliberate confusion by the Pakistani team. Additionally, PCB complained that Surya violated sportsmanship by not shaking hands. However, ICC's rule book doesn't mandate handshakes.
