Arriving at the scene, DSP Saket Kumar disclosed that a man named Guddu Kumar Singh was shot around 9 am on Sunday and had been hospitalized in Paras Hospital with one gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation suggests personal grudge as the motive. The injured is a hospital owner, and the entire case is currently under investigation.
There are reports that a recent official eviction of an encroachment in the same area, which included the demolition of a problematic cattle shed, is linked to the crime.
