Mobile Numbers Found in Prison Raid, Over a Dozen Detained in Khemka Murder Case

The police in Patna are diligently pursuing justice in the horrific murder of businessman Gopal Khemka. On Sunday, during his funeral proceedings, police apprehended a suspect, Roshan Kumar. Furthermore, the police have now detained over a dozen people in connection with Khemka’s death.

Reports indicate that after the murder, the police conducted an extensive raid in the local prison, uncovering numerous mobile phones that are currently being scrutinized. It is asserted that the evidence derived from these devices has led to the detention of around a dozen suspects.

Bihar's DGP Vinay Kumar has commented on those detained. He assured that Gopal Khemka’s killers will soon be behind bars. Patna police are interrogating nearly twelve individuals and will ensure no perpetrator involved in this case escapes justice. Every angle is under thorough investigation.

Addressing queries about jail connections, DGP Vinay Kumar confirmed that under the SOP, police routinely interrogate inmates involved in notorious activities. Following this homicidal incident, the SOP was activated to question infamous inmates, leading to the confiscation of several mobile phones, which are now subject to investigation.

It's important to note that the prominent Patna businessman, Gopal Khemka, was tragically shot dead outside his apartment last Friday night. As Khemka stepped out of his car, a helmet-wearing assailant, lying in wait, opened fire, leading to his untimely demise. The assailant subsequently fled the scene on a motorcycle.
