Aaj Tak was the first to reveal that terrorist Happy was apprehended in America. Punjab Police, alongside central agencies, have been in constant communication with American entities to share information about Passia. He has executed more than 14 terrorist activities in Punjab.
During 2024 and 2025, Passia persistently targeted Punjab Police, launching grenade assaults on various police stations and even publicizing responsibility posts for these attacks.
Notably, on November 24, a bomb was placed outside Punjab’s Ajnala station, though it did not detonate. Passia claimed responsibility, yet police had already nabbed two suspects in this matter.
On November 27, a grenade detonated at Gurbaksh Nagar's police outpost, followed by another explosion at SBS Nagar's Kathgarh station on December 2. Three terrorists were arrested, and weapons were recovered in this case.
Following the grenade explosion at Majitha station on December 4, police initially denied it was an attack, attributing noise to a flat tire. However, former area MLA Bikram Majithia insisted it was a terrorist act with supporting photographs.
Another grenade attack occurred at Alipur Batala station on December 13, claimed by Passia and his accomplices, with the incident executed at night. On December 17, a grenade exploded at Islamabad station. While initial reports downplayed the event, DGP Punjab verified it as a terrorist act after visiting Amritsar that afternoon.
On January 19, an explosion occurred at Amritsar's Gumtala outpost, for which Babbar Khalsa International claimed responsibility. Earlier, on January 16, a grenade attack targeted the home of liquor businessman Amandeep Jaitypuria in the Amritsar district. On February 3, terrorists targeted an Amritsar police outpost, although police labeled it a low-intensity incident and refused to classify it as a grenade attack.
On February 14, in Gurdaspur’s Dera Baba Nanak, a blast targeted a police officer’s residence, and on March 15, Amritsar’s Thakur Dwara temple was attacked. Accused Gursidak Singh was killed in an encounter.
Sources indicate Happy Passia maintained ongoing contact with top-level ISI officials in Pakistan, receiving substantial support from Khalistani terrorist groups aiming to destabilize Punjab.
