After a delay of more than 2 and a half hours, IndiGo Airlines halted its Rajkot-Mumbai flight. This led to intense protests by passengers at the Rajkot International Airport.
Monday's scene at Hirasar Airport turned chaotic as the 7:40 PM departure of IndiGo's flight to Mumbai was unexpectedly canceled. The airline claimed adverse weather conditions prevented takeoff.
However, following over two hours of delay, passengers lost their patience and engaged in heated arguments with airline staff. A video capturing the commotion has now gone viral on social media, showing passengers in sharp exchange with the staff present.
Passengers also complained about not being provided with food. They demanded to speak with a manager, citing the airline's policy to provide meals for delays exceeding two hours, questioning why it wasn't adhered to.
Meanwhile, one traveler expressed frustration over the lack of information and being prevented from entering the gate area. After much debate, the passengers were finally calmed down, but the later cancellation of the flight escalated the agitation.
