Aman entered the semifinals after defeating Albania’s Zelimkhan Abakarov with a 12-0 technical superiority in the quarterfinals. The Asian Championship gold medalist and the only male wrestler from India to qualify for the Olympics, Aman, easily won against Abakarov. In the first round, due to Abakarov's ‘passivity’ (inactivity), Aman earned one point and then another two points with a ‘takedown’.

In the second round, the former world champion Abakarov remained under pressure, allowing the 21-year-old Indian wrestler to dominate and successfully execute his attacks, amassing eight points and winning by technical superiority. Abakarov challenged the final two points, but it was rejected, giving Aman another point.

Prior to this, Aman showcased an impressive performance against North Macedonia’s Vladimir Egorov to reach the quarterfinals. Throughout the match, Aman displayed agility and solid defense, securing a 10-0 victory over the former European champion on technical prowess. In the first round, the 29-year-old Egorov seemed troubled and required medical attention after Aman’s relentless attack. Aman did not allow his opponent to recover, scoring another two points with a ‘takedown’ and achieving a 10-0 lead with two minutes remaining.
