The political landscape for the Rupauli assembly seat by-election in Bihar has intensified. NDA and the Grand Alliance are head to head, with the NDA fielding JDU's Kaladhar Mandal. On the other hand, RJD has reaffirmed trust in Bima Bharti for the Grand Alliance. Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, has made a surprising announcement, extending his support to Bima Bharti.
On 'X,' Pappu Yadav shared, "Ideology is a significant element in politics. It may be vanishing today, but I am a carrier of ideology-based politics; I stand with the Congress ideology. Therefore, putting personal grievances aside, I extend my full support to the Congress-backed candidate in the Rupauli assembly region."
Pappu Yadav was independently elected from Purnia
Note that RJD had fielded Bima Bharti from Purnia for the India Alliance. Pappu Yadav had continuously claimed his stake, but when the ticket did not change hands, he ran as an independent and achieved victory. The Rupauli seat became vacant after Bima Bharti's resignation from JDU. Now, in a startling move, Pappu Yadav has extended his support to Bima Bharti, whom he previously defeated.
