In Madhya Pradesh's Panna, right before the New Year 2024, fortune shone upon a leader with the discovery of a precious diamond. Weighing 4.1 carats, this rare gem was promptly deposited by the leader and his family at the Diamond Office.
It turns out, Santosh Singh Yadav, Vice President of the Panna District Council, had secured a mining lease in his son Ajay's name, where the exquisite diamond was found. Together with his friends, Ajay Singh Yadav presented the diamond at the Panna Administrative Office, where it is now awaiting auction.
Ajay Singh Yadav, the political leader's diamond-bearing son, divulged that post-graduation, he endeavored in job hunting. With nothing forthcoming, he spectacularly shifted gears to try his fortune in diamond mining.
This endeavor took form on private land in Sarakoha village owned by Lachchi Pal, where diamond mining began with permits from the Panna Diamond Office in February 2024. After ten months of determined labor, the fateful 4.1-carat diamond emerged on Somvati Amavasya.
Clerk Sunil Jatav and Mineral Inspector Nutan Jain verified the gem's quality, confirming it as a magnificent and lustrous 4.1 carats. Estimated at around 2 million rupees, it speaks volumes of its value.
Ajay Singh Yadav revealed plans to start a business with the proceeds from the diamond auction. The young man's newfound fortune has swept his family into celebrations, paralleled by the steady stream of well-wishers at the leader's residence.
This incident marks a first with leaders venturing directly into the diamond trade, while the allure of Panna's diamond mines continues to attract unemployed youth.
