Since taking office, President Donald Trump has taken a stringent stance on immigration policies. Recently, news has emerged that Pakistan's ambassador to Turkmenistan was denied entry into the United States and subsequently deported.

A senior official from the Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Pakistan's ambassador to Turkmenistan, K.K. Ahsan Wagan, was deported from the United States following immigration objections.

Ambassador Wagan, who possessed a valid U.S. visa and all necessary travel documents, was reportedly on a private visit to Los Angeles. However, the U.S. immigration authorities halted his entry, leading to his deportation. This act by the U.S. has raised questions regarding diplomatic protocol. Given the gravity of the situation, the Pakistani government might summon him back to Islamabad.

Both Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch have been notified about the incident. The Foreign Ministry has instructed the Pakistani Consulate in Los Angeles to look into this matter.

Ambassador K.K. Ahsan Wagan has a long-standing career in Pakistan's Foreign Service. He has served various roles, including Second Secretary at the Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu, Deputy Consul General at the Pakistani Consulate General in Los Angeles, Ambassador in Muscat, and at the Pakistani Embassy in Niger.
