The ICC's decision to exclude Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup has also raised concerns in Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has raised serious questions about the International Cricket Council (ICC). While speaking with the media in Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi expressed his view that injustice has been done to Bangladesh and that the ICC should not apply double standards.
Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that he had brought up this issue during the ICC board meeting. He mentioned, "I clearly stated during the ICC meeting that double standards are unacceptable. A decision should not vary for the same issue when it involves different nations." He emphasized that Bangladesh must participate in the World Cup as it is a major stakeholder in the tournament.
The PCB chief stated that Bangladesh and Pakistan are both equal members of the ICC and should not be treated differently. He said, "Bangladesh is a member on par with Pakistan. If preference was given to India in Pakistan's case, the same approach should apply to Bangladesh."

Pakistan's Warning to ICC
Mohsin Naqvi also commented that no country should impose decisions on another. He issued a stern warning, saying that if this happens, Pakistan will stand firm on its stance. "One country cannot dictate to another. If this happens, Pakistan will stand firm on its position," he remarked.
The importance of Pakistan's government in this scenario was also highlighted by the PCB chief. He explained that if Pakistan decides not to participate in the World Cup, the ICC should consider including a 22nd team. He made it clear that this decision will be made by the Pakistani government, which will have the final say.

Mohsin Naqvi stated, "This is a decision for the Pakistan government, and the final verdict will be theirs." He added that Pakistan is well-prepared for any situation, having plans A, B, C, and D ready, so there is no need to worry.
Raising questions about the ICC's role, the PCB chief asserted that Pakistan trusts its own government more than the ICC. He mentioned, "We have more confidence in the Pakistan government than we do in the ICC."
After Mohsin Naqvi's statements, a new debate has sparked in international cricket regarding Bangladesh's World Cup future, the ICC's fairness, and members' rights. Everyone is now focused on the reactions of the ICC and the related nations in the coming days.
