The nation is outraged following Tuesday's terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. This attack has claimed 28 lives and 17 people have been reported injured. In response, the Pakistani military has issued a high alert along their side of the Line of Control.

So far this year, the Pakistani military has violated the ceasefire three times in Jammu & Kashmir. During this period, five terrorists were neutralized in confrontations with the Indian army.

According to intelligence sources, 42 terrorist launch pads are active near the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These launch pads reportedly host between 110 to 130 terrorists. In the Kashmir Valley, 70 to 75 terrorists remain active, while in Jammu's Rajouri, 60 to 65 terrorists are reported active. All of these terrorists are Pakistani.

Among these terrorist groups, Pakistan has recruited only four local young men. The Indian security forces neutralize one terrorist roughly every five days. Of the 75 terrorists eliminated so far, most were foreigners, including 17 terrorists trying to infiltrate via the LOC and IB, while 26 terrorists met their end in confrontations.

Statistics indicate that in Jammu's five districts – Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Doda, and Rajouri – 42 non-local terrorists have been neutralized. In the Valley, foreign terrorists were eliminated in the districts of Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, and Kulgam. Baramulla witnessed the highest number of such eliminations, notably in the Sabura Nala area of Uri sector, as well as in the Chak Tapper and Handipora areas.

These statistics also reveal a significant decline in the number of active local terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir, leaving predominantly Pakistani terrorists active.

Notably, Tuesday's attack in Pahalgam has already resulted in 28 deaths and 17 injuries. The attack occurred in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley, where terrorists specifically targeted individuals.
