The government of Pakistan has announced a substantial increase in petrol and diesel prices, effective from 16th June (Monday) for the next 15 days. According to a notification released by the Ministry of Finance, petrol prices have risen by 4.80 PKR per liter, while high-speed diesel sees an increase of 7.95 PKR per liter.
Following this fresh hike, the cost of high-speed diesel has surged to 262.59 PKR per liter, and petrol will now be priced at 258.43 PKR per liter. The Ministry of Finance has issued an official notification related to revised petroleum product prices.

Rising Expenses for Citizens and Industries
Previously, on the 31st of May, the Central Government of Pakistan had raised petrol prices by 1 PKR per liter. At that time, the petrol price was set at 253.63 PKR per liter. Now, with new prices coming into effect, common citizens and industries may face increased expenses.
