In the dreadful terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday, 28 lives were lost. This cowardly act has sparked outrage across the nation. Stars of the cricket world are also expressing their sorrow and anger at this incident. Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has voiced his grief about this tragedy.

What Mohammed Siraj Said

Mohammed Siraj wrote on Instagram, “I read about the horrific and shocking terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Targeting and killing innocents in the name of religion is a purely evil act. No cause, no belief, no ideology can ever justify such cruelty. What kind of fight is this where human life has no value? I can't even imagine the pain and suffering the families are going through due to this tragedy. I pray to the Almighty to give them the strength to overcome this unbearable grief. I hope this madness ends soon and these terrorists receive no mercy when punished.”

BCCI Secretary Expresses Sorrow

Devjeet Saikia, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), also issued a statement. He said, “The cricket world is shocked and deeply saddened by this painful incident where innocent lives were lost in the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam. On behalf of BCCI, we strongly condemn this cowardly and inhuman act. We express our deepest condolences to the grieving families and pray for the peace of the departed souls.”
