He emphasized that Congress provided unconditional support to ensure the nation stood united against terror. In response, BJP President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda remarked, 'After independence, such an operation has not been seen.'
Leader of the House and Union Minister, J.P. Nadda, said, "Kharge ji started discussing the detailed aspects of the operation, which is against the rules. We will discuss Operation Sindur. Such an operation hasn't occurred since independence." Referring to Congress Chief Kharge's statements, he said, "What is this? Nothing will be recorded as you say. Only what we say will be recorded."
In Rajya Sabha, Leader of the House J.P. Nadda responded to Kharge by saying, "First of all, I wish him a happy birthday. The Leader of Opposition did not initiate the discussion under Rule 267. It was supposed to be under Rule 167."
J.P. Nadda insisted, "The wrong message should not go out that the government does not want a discussion on Operation Sindur. We are open to discussions. Please clarify this." To which the Rajya Sabha Chair remarked, "I will ensure a full discussion and have accepted the proposal. Rajya Sabha is adjourned till 12 noon."
