'Operation Sindoor': Passenger Removed from Air India Flight

Aboard Bangalore's Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Wednesday evening, a passenger was removed from Air India's flight AI-2820 due to security concerns. This flight was scheduled to depart for Delhi at 6:05 p.m. from Bangalore.

According to sources, security protocols have been significantly tightened at airports nationwide following 'Operation Sindoor'. This escalated alert enabled the identification of a suspicious passenger, leading to their removal from the flight.

The identity of the passenger has not been publicly disclosed, nor has the reason for the action been made clear. An Air India official, when approached by a news agency, stated, 'We are aware of the incident but cannot share further information at this time.' The official further clarified, 'Such actions are not routine and were prompted by specific reasons which remain undisclosed for now.'

In the wake of 'Operation Sindoor', increased vigilance is being observed nationwide regarding security. This military action was a countermeasure in response to attacks on Indian tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, targeting locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
