Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply criticized the opposition on Tuesday for questioning the timing of 'Operation Mahadev'. This operation resulted in the elimination of all three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. He remarked that the opposition has become desperate and disheartened. While addressing the Parliament during discussions on Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam incident, Modi questioned whether there is a need for an auspicious time to take down terrorists.

He commented, "Yesterday, our security forces successfully executed Operation Mahadev and saw it to completion. However, I am puzzled that some individuals (pointing towards the opposition) sarcastically asked, 'Why did it happen yesterday?' Was this operation scheduled based on an auspicious Monday of Sawan? What has happened to these people?"

'Now That Action’s Taken…'

PM Modi further commented, "Has their disappointment reached such an extreme? For weeks, they asked, 'Operation Sindoor is fine, but what about the Pahalgam terrorists?' And now that action is taken, they wonder, 'Why was it done yesterday?'"

Earlier, opposition MPs including Mallikarjun Kharge and Akhilesh Yadav questioned the timing of 'Operation Mahadev', coinciding with the parliament discussions on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.

'Why Only Yesterday...'

Akhilesh Yadav, MP from Kannauj and head of the Samajwadi Party, queried, "Why did the encounter happen only yesterday? If you are so technologically advanced, why couldn’t you detect the RDX-carrying car during the Pulwama attack?"

What Did Amit Shah State?

Home Minister Amit Shah stated earlier today that the three Lashkar terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack were gunned down by security forces in Operation Mahadev, avenging the killing of 26 tourists on April 22.

Amit Shah said that just hours after the Pahalgam attack, a plan to capture the terrorists was devised, and orders were issued to ensure they didn't escape the country.

The Home Minister identified three terrorists—Lashkar's top commander Suleman Shah, Afghan, and Jibran—as the attackers of Pahalgam. They were given refuge by locals following the April 22 massacre. Last month, two locals, Parvez Ahmed Jothar and Bashir Ahmed, were arrested by the NIA for allegedly providing shelter to the assailants.

During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha, Amit Shah revealed that voter IDs and chocolates found at the terrorist hideouts confirmed their links to Pakistan.

On May 22, intelligence about terrorist presence in the Dachingam forests was received.

Amit Shah said, "Our troops continued patrolling in the harsh cold to capture their signals. On July 22, success was achieved. We got information about terrorist presence in the area through sensors."

Home Minister Amit Shah mentioned that security forces made significant efforts to match the identities of the slain terrorists with those involved in the Pahalgam attack. Only after thorough verification was the information gradually made public to the media.
