In a grim incident from Karawal Nagar, Delhi, a dispute over loud phone conversations culminated in the brutal beating death of a man who served as a DTC bus marshal. Residing on rent in Karawal Nagar, an argument with the landlord's nephew sparked a violent brawl, ending with the uncle-nephew duo savagely beating the tenant with sticks, leading to his untimely death.

On Wednesday, the police disclosed that 47-year-old Satveer Singh worked as a bus marshal for Delhi Transport Corporation. On the night of March 24-25, he had a heated dispute with Rahul, the nephew of his landlord Sunil.

According to police reports, Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital alerted the authorities about an unconscious man brought in with injuries on his limbs. Satveer had been mercilessly beaten with sticks. A senior police officer remarked that he also suffered several internal injuries and initially, a case was registered under IPC Section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide). However, when the hospital confirmed Satveer's death at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, IPC Section 302 was added to the case.

It was informed that Satveer had been staying solo on the fourth floor of a building in Karawal Nagar for the past two years, working as a marshal for the DTC at the time. Prior to this, he served as a home guard. The building's owner, Sunil, resided nearby, whereas his nephew Rahul lived on the second floor.

As per the police, on the night of March 24 and 25, a trivial matter escalated into a quarrel between Satveer and Rahul. The officer added that the dispute intensified when Rahul objected to Satveer's use of offensive language while talking on the phone. The altercation soon turned physical, and Rahul reported the incident to Sunil, his landlord uncle.

Following this, Sunil and Rahul attacked Satveer, beating him with sticks. In the aftermath of this event, the accused Rahul has been arrested while efforts to apprehend his uncle Sunil are underway.
