The SIT investigating financial irregularities within the Noida Authority has filed its report in the Supreme Court, revealing shocking details. The report highlights major discrepancies in the distribution of compensation for acquired land.
Hearing Scheduled for March 18
According to the SIT report, a significant irregularity was found in the compensation distribution by the Noida Authority, with Rs 117.56 crore being given to ineligible farmers. Following this revelation, the Supreme Court has instructed the Noida Authority to submit all related original documents. Several senior officials of the authority are now under scrutiny by the court. The next hearing in this matter is scheduled for March 18.
Two Officials Suspended
An in-depth review of compensation distribution over the past 15 years was conducted by the SIT under the Supreme Court's orders, uncovering substantial discrepancies. The SIT comprised the Chairman of the Revenue Board, Commissioner of Meerut Division Selva Kumari, and ADJ of Meerut DK Thakur. Notably, two officials from the legal department of the former authority have been suspended in connection with this case.
