Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warmly praised U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to conduct air strikes on Iran's nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. He hailed it as a bold and historic move, asserting that peace comes through strength.
According to news agencies, Netanyahu commended the U.S. military action on Iran, describing it as brave and momentous. He noted that history will remember Trump as the leader who prevented the world's most dangerous regime from acquiring the most perilous weapons.
In his official statement, Netanyahu stated, 'President Trump's decision is a defining moment that could bring more peace and prosperity to the Middle East. His leadership ensures that regimes like Iran are prevented from obtaining nuclear arms. President Trump, I extend our gratitude; the people of Israel thank you.'
'Peace Through Strength'
The Israeli PM claimed that both he and President Trump often say that peace comes through strength. He elaborated, saying that strength precedes peace, and tonight, Donald Trump and the United States have acted with remarkable vigor.
Analysts believe Netanyahu's statement underscores a move to fortify regional alliances and deepen the Israel-U.S. relationship. However, Iran has threatened retaliation, potentially heightening tensions in the Middle East. Netanyahu's remarks also signal Israel's readiness, in collaboration with the Trump administration, to adopt a more aggressive strategy against Iran.
Bunker Buster Bombs
On June 22, 2025, America conducted air strikes against three Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—using B-2 stealth bombers. At Fordow alone, six bunker buster bombs were dropped. Trump referred to the strike as highly successful, calling for Iran to pursue peace.
Trump Appeals for Peace
Following the attack, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the nation, appealing for peace with Iran. He congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli military. He warned Iran that should peace not be embraced, future attacks would be far fiercer.
Trump made it clear, stating, 'There will be peace in Iran, or there will be destruction. The targets chosen tonight were precisely the right ones.'
Iran Confirms Attacks
The Iranian nuclear agency confirmed Sunday that strikes occurred at its Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz nuclear sites but emphasized its operations won't cease. Iran's atomic energy agency issued this statement after Trump announced U.S. strikes on these locations.
'U.S. Citizens and Soldiers Will Be Targets'
Meanwhile, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization stated Iran will not allow the hindrance of this national industry. Additionally, an Iranian state TV commentator indicated that every U.S. citizen or soldier in the region would now be a target.
It's worth noting that Israel targeted Iranian nuclear sites on June 13, after which Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes on several Israeli cities. Israel claims its operations aim to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
