On this special day, Kalpana Soren, wife of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is poised to launch her political journey. At a gathering in Giridih today, Kalpana is set to commence her political career. It's noteworthy that JMM was founded on February 4, 1973.
JMM has chosen this momentous day to induct Kalpana Soren into the party. The party is observing its 51st foundation anniversary as a day of protest. Kalpana sought blessings from her father-in-law and JMM president Shibu Soren and mother-in-law Roopi Soren a day before joining the party. She also visited her husband Hemant Soren, who is currently in prison.

Kalpana's Educational Background
Kalpana cited public demand as the reason behind her decision to enter politics. It's essential to note that Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana holds an M.Tech and an MBA from Bhubaneswar. She completed her education in Baripada, Odisha. Notably, JMM's executive president Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with a land scam and money laundering case. During this period, Hemant Soren resigned from the Chief Minister's seat.
