Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received yet another blow from the High Court. The office of Acting Chief Justice Justice Manmohan denied an early hearing to Kejriwal's urgent plea. Kejriwal had requested his petition against the ED's remand to be heard hastily on the evening of Saturday or the morning of Sunday, March 24th.

According to the office of the Acting Chief Justice, it is now expected that the hearing of Kejriwal's plea will be conducted after the Holi holiday, on the reopening of the court on March 27th. Monday and Tuesday are designated as holidays in the High Court due to Holi. Kejriwal argued in his petition that both his arrest and remand orders were unlawful and that he is entitled to immediate release from custody.
