The debate surrounding the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has intensified. Once again, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has fervently called for the complete dissolution of ICE. He has accused the agency of committing lethal violence openly, compelling the American public to turn a blind eye.

In a statement released on social media platform X, Mamdani stated, "ICE murdered Rainy Good in broad daylight. It wasn't even three weeks before Alex Pretty was shot ten times. Every day we witness individuals being forcibly ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives. We cannot avert our eyes from this cruelty. Abolish ICE."

During his interview on ABC's program This Week on Sunday, Mamdani described the recent incidents in Minneapolis as "horrifying" and accused leaders of telling Americans to distrust their own eyes and ears. He emphasized that the video related to Rainy Good is clear, leaving no room for alternative conclusions.

ICE Agent Opens Fire on American Citizens

Rainy Good, a 37-year-old American citizen, was shot by an ICE agent while sitting in her car on January 7. Authorities clarified that she was not targeted in any immigration raid. This event triggered weeks of protests in Minneapolis. Shortly after, 37-year-old Alex Pretty was killed in a separate incident where a Customs and Border Protection agent opened fire on him multiple times.

ICE's Raids are Brutal and Inhumane - Mamdani

Mamdani states that this terror is not confined to Minneapolis alone. He highlights that New Yorkers also feel "terrorized" and vows to take all possible measures to halt such actions in New York City.

The Mayor openly addressed the President, stating that ICE's raids are brutal and inhumane, offering no benefit to public safety. Amid growing protests and scrutiny, Mamdani asserted that the American public wants to see and hear the truth, not have it suppressed.
