The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel will not stand down until all hostages are freed in the ceasefire deal with Hamas. The USA played a crucial role in mediating this ceasefire where both sides agreed to release each other's hostages.
Israel is closely collaborating with both the Biden and Trump administrations. The hostage agreement between Israel and Hamas is a direct result of this cooperation. Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Trump for his plan to lift all restrictions on American weaponry.
'If the Agreement Fails, War Will Resume'
Netanyahu assured that Israel will keep full control over the Gaza border. While the first phase marks a temporary ceasefire, if the second phase falls short, Israel is prepared to resume warfare. This stance has been supported by both Trump and Biden.
Netanyahu also mentioned that Israel will strike at its 'enemies' on seven fronts and claimed, 'We have destroyed Syria's weapons.' The Israeli Prime Minister remarked that 'if we must return to war, we will do so with renewed and powerful methods.'
'Israel Has Changed the Face of the Middle East'
He declared that since the onset of hostilities, Israel has 'changed the face of the Middle East.' Both Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and a swap of Israeli hostages with Palestinian prisoners. Since the war that began in October 2023, this marks the second ceasefire agreement; the previous one lasted barely a week.
