NEET UG 2025 Exam Day Guidelines:

Set for Sunday, May 4, 2025, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG), one of the nation's most challenging undergraduate medical entrance exams, anticipates over 2.2 million candidates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is fully prepared to carry out the NEET UG 2025 examination.

Over 500 cities will host more than 5453 exam centers for NEET UG. To ensure fair and smooth conduct, NTA has taken significant measures. After last year’s controversy over leaked NEET papers, which questioned NTA’s integrity, the agency underwent several reforms, reassuring justice to students. This year, stringent measures are in place to uphold the exam's integrity and security.

Intense Surveillance in Three Layers

A rigorous three-tier surveillance system is in effect—district, state, and central levels—to prevent any misconduct during the exams. Officers deployed at each level will monitor proceedings to promptly curb inappropriate activities.

Thorough Preparation with Mock Drills

A day before the exams, on May 3, 2025, all centers will conduct mock drills to assess readiness and ensure flawless operations.

Special Center Facilities

Given the intense heat expected in May, directives have been issued for special arrangements at centers across all states and union territories. There will be clean drinking water available for every candidate. An uninterrupted power supply will prevent discomfort due to heat. Portable toilets will be arranged if necessary, with first aid kits and ambulances on standby for emergencies. Most centers will be established in government schools, aided colleges, universities, and other institutions.

Stringent Action Against Unfair Means

NTA clearly states that any candidate using unfair means (UFM) will face strict actions, applicable before, during, or after exams. Depending on the severity, candidates could face a three-year ban from any NTA exams. Legal and criminal actions may be pursued under the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. To safeguard their futures, candidates are urged to avoid any misconduct.

Guidance and Precautions

Students are advised to arrive at their centers on time with necessary documents like admit cards and IDs. Wearing light clothes and carrying water bottles is recommended due to the forecasted heat. All electronic devices and crib notes should be avoided, as harsh penalties may ensue if found.
