NEET PG Exam Date 2024:
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared a rescheduled exam date for the NEET PG. It will now be conducted on August 11, 2024. The examination will be held in two sessions after a careful review of SOPs and protocols.
Details related to the upcoming NEET PG exam, which will take place across two shifts, will soon be available on the board's official website natboard.edu.in. Candidates who initially applied for the Postgraduate Medical Entrance Exam (NEET PG) intending to participate on June 23 can check the new exam date notice on the NBEMS official website.
Initially scheduled for June 23, the NEET PG was postponed less than 12 hours before its intended start time due to an attempt to violate exam integrity amidst NEET UG and UGC NET paper leak controversies.
Following the exam cancellation, NBEMS President Abhijat Sheth stated, "As far as NEET PG is concerned, its examination integrity was never doubted. For the past seven years, we have successfully administered it. Due to recent events, there were considerable concerns among student communities regarding such exams, and in response, the government has decided again to ensure that the sanctity and security of the exam are maintained." He added that a new exam date will be announced following a review of the necessary SOPs and protocols.
NEET PG Candidates Beware:
Prior to this, NBE had issued a notice advising candidates against falling prey to fraudulent agents/brokers making false claims through fake emails/SMS or counterfeit documents or social media to assist in any manner. NBEMS never sends emails or SMS to candidates regarding scoring well in any exam. Candidates are urged to cross-verify any information received via SMS in the name of NBEMS with updates or emails from the NBEMS website.
