The NEET examination debacle has sent shockwaves through the academic world, with a wave of arrests unfolding as the investigation deepened. To date, a total of 24 individuals have been taken into custody from four different states.

In a groundbreaking discovery, an investigation led by the EOU has revealed an organized nexus between the paper leak mafia and cybercriminals. Mastermind Sanjeev Mukhiya's group is now known to have connections with cyber offenders who not only provided sim cards but also offered shelter. Following these provisions, the paper leak mafia proceeded to use these sim cards in their illicit operations.

A diverse group of 24 suspects are now behind bars in connection with the NEET paper leak scandal, ranging from 13 arrests in Bihar's Patna, 5 in Jharkhand's Deoghar, 5 in Gujarat's Godhra, to a single arrest in Maharashtra's Latur.

The infiltration of the paper leak ring in Deoghar, Jharkhand, led to the detention of three identified cyber criminals: Kaju, Bittu, and Panku. In their possession, 11 post-dated checks, as well as a collection of sim cards, were seized.

Rocky, a relative of Sanjeev Mukhiya who runs a prominent hotel in Ranchi, has also come under the searchlight. Post-leak, Rocky orchestrated a group of 'solvers', involving MBBS students from both Ranchi and Patna to solve and disseminate the leak. According to insider information, Rocky holds an esteemed position in Sanjeev Mukhiya's inner circle. Confronting both Sanjeev and Rocky currently poses as a significant challenge to the CBI.
