NEET 2025 paper leak fake news:
The NEET UG exam is set for May 4, 2025, and preparation is underway for examinees. However, cyber fraudsters are on the prowl, aiming to deceive or mislead NEET aspirants with false rumors. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated significant measures to shield students from deceptive information concerning NEET (UG) 2025. Social media channels propagating false paper leak rumors are now under scrutiny.
On April 26, 2025, the NTA established a dedicated portal urging people to report suspicious activities. Since then, there have been over 1500 reports, with the majority linked to Telegram channels.
Detection of 106 Telegram and 16 Instagram Channels
The NTA has identified 106 Telegram and 16 Instagram channels falsely claiming NEET (UG) 2025 paper leaks. These platforms are misleading students with incorrect information. The NTA has reached out to Telegram and Instagram to take down these misleading channels.
Assistance from the Home Ministry
To take action against these fraudulent channels, the NTA has handed the cases to the Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Thorough investigations are underway to ensure legal actions are taken against the perpetrators. The NTA has also asked Telegram and Instagram for details about the channel operators to expedite the investigation.
Report These Activities
The NTA urges the public to report three types of suspicious activities:
Websites or social media accounts proclaiming NEET 2025 paper leaks.
Individuals claiming to have access to exam content.
People posing as NTA or government officials to deceive others.
