Results for the by-elections in 13 assembly seats across seven states have been announced, with Congress and TMC both capturing 4 seats each. The BJP could only secure victories in 2 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party has succeeded in Jalandhar, while all four West Bengal seats were claimed by TMC. In Himachal Pradesh, Congress won on 2 seats, while BJP secured 1 seat. As for Rupauli's seat in Bihar, independent candidate Shankar Singh claimed victory over parties like JD(U) and RJD. DMK retained its stronghold in Tamil Nadu's Vikaravandi

In Madhya Pradesh, Amarwada seat was won by BJP. Uttarakhand saw Congress taking over seats in Manglaur and Badrinath which were previously held by Congress and BSP respectively. The BJP candidate could not succeed in their challenge to claim the seats.

In Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukkhu's wife Kamlesh Thakur wins the Dehra seat with a significant margin against BJP. Let's dive into the election outcomes for each party in the different states-

Uttarakhand-

Uttarakhand hosted by-elections for Manglaur and Badrinath seats. Congress's Lakpat Singh Butola defeated BJP's Rajendra Bhandari by more than 5,000 votes in Badrinath. Whereas in Manglaur, Congress's Qazi Nizamuddin edged out BJP's Kartar Singh Bhadana in a narrow victory.

Himachal Pradesh-

Out of three seats in Himachal Pradesh, Congress secured two. Chief Minister Sukkhu's wife Kamlesh Thakur won from Dehra seat by 9,399 votes and in Nalagarh, Congress's Hardeep Singh Bawa triumphed over BJP's K.L. Thakur. BJP's Ashish Sharma won Hamirpur by defeating Congress's Pushpendra Verma.

West Bengal-

The Trinamool Congress has executed a clean sweep in the state's four assembly seats. TMC candidates have registered commanding victories on all fronts.

Punjab-

AAP's Mohinder Bhagat secured the win in Jalandhar West by a substantial margin over BJP's Sheetal Angural. It should be noted that this seat initially belonged to AAP.

Bihar-

Rupauli witnessed an upset with independent candidate Shankar Singh surpassing the expectations by defeating JD(U) and RJD. JD(U)'s Kaladhar Mandal came second, closely followed by former JD(U) MLA Bima Bharti.

Tamil Nadu-

DMK held onto their prevailing seat in Vikaravandi, Tamil Nadu. DMK's Anniyur Shiva defeated the PMK opponent with a commanding lead.

Madhya Pradesh-

BJP's Kamlesh Shah emerged victorious in Amarwada seat, defeating Congress's Dhiran Shah.
