Bihar: Fatal Crash in Muzaffarpur, Four Dead, Many Injured

A head-on collision between a tractor and a pickup in Minapur, Muzaffarpur district, resulted in four deaths and multiple injuries. All were returning from a fair in Samastipur. A tragic road accident occurred in the Minapur police region of Muzaffarpur district, Bihar. A devastating head-on collision between a tractor and a pickup truck in Khemai Patti claimed the lives of four individuals on the spot, while several others suffered serious injuries. The mishap occured as 20 to 25 people were returning home from the fair in Samastipur.

According to local residents, among those who perished were three individuals from Purnia village in Minapur, with the fourth victim hailing from a different village. All were riding in the back of the pickup when the tractor, approaching suddenly from the opposite direction, caused a severe collision. The impact was so intense that the front section of the pickup truck was completely wrecked.

The tragedy was reported to Minapur police and the 112 emergency team arrived swiftly at the scene. ASI Jitendra Kumar stated that they were informed of the accident during patrol. Some of the injured were transported to SKMCH hospital with the help of locals and others were taken by the police vehicle. In the accident, three adults and a young girl lost their lives, while two women sustained critical injuries.

The village has plunged into mourning following the incident. The police have seized both vehicles involved in the crash and are conducting a thorough investigation. Local residents are demanding compensation for the families of the deceased, and the authorities have assured that further action is being pursued.
