A tense moment unfolded during the annual pilgrimage in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh when some pilgrims created a ruckus at a roadside restaurant over onions being served in their meal. This incident took place on Monday night near Faloda bypass on the Delhi-Haridwar National Highway, within the jurisdiction of the Purkazi police station.
According to the police, approximately 20 pilgrims were having their dinner when controversy broke out after discovering onions in their food. Infuriated, the pilgrims vandalized tables and chairs at the dhaba. However, the local police arrived promptly and successfully de-escalated the situation.

The events were confirmed by Muzaffarnagar's Superintendent of Police, Satyanarayan Prajapat. He reported that the police calmed the distressed pilgrims, preventing further escalation. No written complaints have been filed by any party, so no case has been lodged.
Subsequent to the commotion, the pilgrims resumed their journey without major incident. The police and administration remain on high alert throughout the pilgrimage, ensuring devotees' safety and conveniences are closely monitored.
