The shooting incident at the famous comedian Kapil Sharma's cafe in Canada has caught the attention of agencies globally. A video surfaced showing the assailants retrieving a pistol from their car and firing rapidly. The attackers disappeared after the shooting. Wanted in Vikas Bagga Murder Case

Along with Canadian connections, Laddi is linked to a high-profile murder conspiracy in India. The case concerns the killing of VHP leader Vikas Bagga. The targeted killing in Punjab in June 2024 was handed over to the NIA, and raids started under case number RC-06/2024/NIA/DLI. Investigations revealed Harjeet Laddi, Kulbir Singh alias Sidhu, and others as the main conspirators.

Ties with Babbar Khalsa International

According to the NIA, Harjeet Laddi is not just active but is linked with terrorist financiers and handlers abroad. Conversations and funding networks linked with the operatives of Babbar Khalsa International have yielded multiple digital proofs. Hence, in the eyes of the NIA, Laddi is more than a criminal, posing a severe threat to national security.

From Posters to Disappearance

On July 7, 2024, an NIA-released wanted poster in newspapers created a sensation. It featured two images: one real, the other a sketch. The poster of Harjeet Singh alias Laddi explicitly stated a ₹10 lakh award for any information about him, with confidentiality assured. But the question remains, where exactly is Laddi? From Punjab to Canada, he remains an enigma to police and investigative agencies.

No FIR, Yet Wanted?

Till now, no formal FIR or charge sheet from Punjab Police against Harjeet Singh Laddi has come to light. Yet the NIA's investigation has labeled him as most wanted, indicating the evidence against him is extremely sensitive and perilous, including digital chats, suspicious fund transactions, and murder planning.

Laddi’s Arrest Could Unveil Many Secrets

NIA not only announced a reward for his capture but also provided WhatsApp, Email, and Control Room numbers for related information. This case has transcended Punjab’s borders to link with international terrorism and gang networks. If Harjeet Singh Laddi is apprehended, it may expose many more faces spreading terror from abroad while residing in India. Harjeet Singh alias Laddi has become a challenge to India’s internal security, and his capture could dismantle several terror modules.
