Worli Police in Mumbai have arrested two individuals in connection with a hit-and-run case. After a thorough interrogation on Sunday, Rajesh Shah and the occupant present during the accident, Rajarshi Bidawat, were taken into custody. It is important to note that the main suspect, Mihir Shah, has been on the run since the incident. The police have formed a total of six teams to apprehend him.
Prior to this, the main suspect in the hit-and-run case in Mumbai's Worli area, Mihir Shah's father Rajesh Shah and driver Rajarshi Bidawat were detained by the police. They are also questioning Mihir's girlfriend. Mihir has been identified as the main and sole suspect in the hit-and-run case. Police investigations revealed that the vehicle was uninsured with its coverage having expired.
A BMW Hits a Couple
It was reported that early Sunday morning around 5 AM, a hit-and-run occurred in Worli, Mumbai. Pradeep Nakhwa and Kaveri Nakhwa, a couple who are fisherfolk residing in Koliwada, were returning from Sasoon Dock after purchasing fish. During their return, a BMW struck them from behind. The incident left the couple seriously injured. However, Kaveri succumbed to her injuries during treatment, while Pradeep has sustained severe trauma.
Father, a Shiv Sena (Shinde) Officer
According to police, Mihir Shah was the one driving the car. Another individual, purported to be his driver, was seated next to him. Mihir has been absconding since the accident. Mihir's father, Rajesh Shah, is an officer under Eknath Shinde's leadership of the Shiv Sena in Palghar district.
Mihir Left After a Party
It is alleged that Mihir Shah partied with his friends at the Voices Global Tapas Bar in Juhu the previous night, around 11 PM, and after the party, he headed towards Worli, where the hit-and-run took place.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from Juhu Police reached the Voices Global Bar to investigate the entire matter. The police are attempting to ascertain how many people were at the party and what they drank during the event.
