In a startling development, Mumbai police have arrested a man from Karnataka accused of sending a threatening message to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, demanding a ransom of 5 crore rupees. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Bhikaram Jalaram Bishnoi, was residing in Karnataka but originates from Jalore, Rajasthan.

On Monday night, this indiviual sent a threatening message to the Mumbai Traffic Police control room's WhatsApp helpline. The message alarmingly stated, "If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should apologize at our temple or pay us 5 crore rupees. Otherwise, we will kill him. Our gang is still active." The suspect claims to be related to the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to a police officer, a case was registered against the suspect at Worli Police Station. During the investigation, it was discovered that he was residing in Karnataka. Subsequently, a police team was dispatched to capture him, which they successfully did late Tuesday night. Following questioning, the Worli police arrested him, and he was presented in the local court for a transit remand. The police are now transporting him to Mumbai.

Previously, another individual demanded 2 crore rupees from Salman Khan, also issuing death threats. A message reaching the Mumbai Traffic Police control room revealed this ominous demand. The individual threatened to kill Salman Khan if the money wasn't paid, yet Mumbai police have thus far been unable to trace this perpetrator.

Another incident involved the former minister of Maharashtra, Baba Siddique. After his assassination, his son Zeeshan Siddique also faced death threats. In this case, the police arrested a man identified as Mohammad Taiyyab, alias Gurfan, from Noida. This individual, a resident of Delhi, was apprehended from Sector 39 police station area.

Notably, Salman Khan has been continuously receiving death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi. This animosity dates back to 1998 when Salman was charged in the blackbuck poaching case. In 2018, during a court appearance in Jodhpur, Lawrence issued threats to the actor. Since then, Salman has encountered numerous threats on his life, with an incident of shooting at his residence.
