Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a key figure in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks, made significant revelations during questioning by Mumbai Police's Crime Branch. Under National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody, Rana confessed that he was a trusted agent of the Pakistani army who was also dispatched to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.
Rana revealed that Lashkar-e-Taiba operates not just as a terrorist organization but also functions like an espionage network. He admitted that his friend and associate, David Headley, underwent multiple training sessions for Lashkar.
Rana disclosed that opening an immigration firm's center in Mumbai was his idea, and the associated financial dealings were labeled as business expenses. However, he also confessed that he was in Mumbai during the November 2008 attacks and was fully involved in the terrorist plot.

He admitted to scouting locations like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai. During interrogation, Rana acknowledged that the attack was orchestrated with the cooperation of Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI. Now, the Mumbai Police are preparing to detain Rana for further investigation.
Tahawwur Rana was a close friend of terrorist David Headley, involved in the Mumbai attacks on November 26, 2008. Rana was mentioned during Headley's interrogation. In this attack, 10 Pakistani terrorists arrived via the Arabian Sea, targeting a railway station, two luxury hotels, and a Jewish center, resulting in 166 deaths over approximately 60 hours. Rana is accused of conspiring with Headley, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami, and Pakistan.
