Mumbai: Thrilling Stunt in Moving Taxi Leads to Police Action

In Chembur, Mumbai, a thrilling yet dangerous spectacle unfolded as three taxi drivers were booked for performing stunts in a moving vehicle and driving with utter recklessness. This case came to light when a video of the incident went viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The incident took place near Hazrat Sayyed Abdul Qadir Dargah, close to Shivaji Nagar on the Eastern Freeway, at approximately 8:05 PM on May 13, 2025. According to the FIR filed at the RCF Police Station, the car (MH 03 EG 8007) was driven at an alarmingly high speed in a hazardous manner, posing a threat to both the driver and others on the road.

Stunts in a Moving Taxi in Chembur

Police constable Navnath Dattu Vaikhande registered the complaint. The accused taxi drivers — Adnan Mohammad Isa Khan (20), Mukim Bashir Khan (22), and Junaid Avadali Khan (20) are all residents of Govandi. The video depicted four to five youths perilously hanging out of the moving vehicle, executing risky stunts.

Police Have Taken Three Suspects into Custody

The police have registered a case under sections 281, 125, and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code and section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The trio is currently in custody, with authorities striving to prevent such dangerous stunts from occurring in the future.
