The mother of Maharashtra cadre trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar lost her temper in front of the media. Stationed outside her home, she lashed out at journalists recording videos, threatening them and striking a camera.
It should be noted that Pooja Khedkar has been transferred. She has been appointed as the Assistant Collector of Washim district. Following a letter from Pune's Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase to the Chief Secretary, this course of action was taken. What are the underlying reasons for Pooja's constant spot in the limelight and this action against her?
Two days ago, IAS Pooja Khedkar joined her duty in Washim district. Whether Pooja Khedkar, who had demanded a separate office in Pune, will be granted a separate cabin at the Washim district officers' office is yet to be clarified. Trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar cleared the UPSC examination in the year 2021.
According to the election affidavit, Pooja Khedkar's parents own 110 acres of agricultural land, which is a violation of the Agricultural Land Ceiling Act. They also own six shops, seven flats (one in Hiranandani), 900 grams of gold, diamonds, a gold watch valued at 17 lakhs, and four cars, along with shares in two private companies and an automobile firm. IAS Pooja Khedkar herself has assets worth 17 crore rupees.
Pooja Khedkar secured the 841st rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination. Her mother is the village head (Sarpanch) of Bhalgaon in Ahmednagar district. Pooja's family has a legacy in administrative services, with both her father and grandfather serving in the domain. Her father even held the position of Assistant Collector in Pune.
Pooja Khedkar has now joined duty in Washim. While in Pune, she was seen riding an Audi with a VIP number plate, adorned with both red and blue beacons. Her luxury car, which she drove to government offices, featured official plates and a red beacon light.
