In Iran, senior military commanders are being killed one after another, prompting authorities to instruct officers not to have smartphones. Mossad claims that its assets are so deeply rooted in Iran that no amount of effort can escape their reach.
On Tuesday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) targeted and killed Major General Ali Shademani, the commander of the Iranian Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters. He had replaced the late Chief of Staff Gholam Ali Rashid, who died in an Israeli strike on Friday.
The New Chief of Staff in Iran Also Eliminated
According to the Jerusalem Post, Ali Shademani was currently Iran's Chief of Staff and the most senior military commander at the time. The IDF described him as the closest person to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
Official Directive Against Cell Phone Usage
After the killings of senior military officials, Iran has instructed top officials not to carry cell phones or smartphones, to avoid any tracking possibilities by Israel.
Extensive Network of Mossad's Strong Assets in Iran
Israeli media reports reveal that Mossad and IDF have been using other techniques to monitor the activities of top Iranian commanders well before the hostilities began last Friday. IDF and Mossad possess enough intelligence assets and strategies to continue targeting top Iranian commanders, regardless of their attempts to hide.
The Threat to New Military Commanders
Before being appointed as the commander of the new Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, Shademani, a close ally of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, served as the deputy head of all emergency national defense operations and military operations chief.
