Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Monday regarding Operation Sindhur. During his speech, he unveiled the full story behind agreeing to a ceasefire with Pakistan. He emphasized that this era is not one of war, nor terrorism. Zero tolerance for terrorism is a guarantee for a better world. Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, he recounted how terrorists had shattered the sanctity of our sisters and hence, India dismantled the terrorist headquarters responsible. In these strikes, over a hundred notorious terrorists were neutralized.

PM Modi detailed how the Indian forces precisely targeted terrorist sites and training centers in Pakistan. The decision, which terrorists could not have imagined even in their dreams, was made possible by a united nation embracing a 'Nation First' spirit. Bold decisions were taken, resulting in visible outcomes. We targeted terrorist sites, in response to which Pakistan attempted to retaliate. Modi further narrated how, in just three days, Pakistan was on its knees, pleading with the world for rescue.

Drones and Missiles Crumbled Like Sticks

In his national address, PM Modi articulated, 'The world witnessed how Pakistan's drones and missiles crumbled like sticks in front of India. Our robust air defense system destroyed them mid-air. Their intent was to storm our borders, but we struck at the heart. By then, we had decimated their terror infrastructure. India struck with precision, and the Pakistani airbases they so prided themselves on suffered significant damage. Within the first three days, the extent of destruction was far beyond Pakistan's imagination.'

After a Sound Beating, PAK Pleaded for Ceasefire

PM Modi further detailed how, following India's aggressive engagement, Pakistan, having suffered greatly, sought ways to salvage the situation. On the afternoon of May 10th, the Pakistani military reached out to our DGMO. Pakistan was compelled to assure no further terrorist or military actions from their side. After cautious deliberation, we decided to temporarily suspend operations against Pakistan's terrorist hubs and military establishments. However, we remain vigilant, carefully monitoring future actions. He added, 'I reiterate, our responsive actions against Pakistan's terror and military sites are only paused, and we will continue to evaluate Pakistan's actions closely in the coming days.'

India Fully Committed to Securing Its Citizens

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that the manner in which the Pakistani military and government sustain terrorism will eventually lead to its own demise. For Pakistan to survive, it must dismantle its terror infrastructure. India's stance is unequivocally clear... terror and talks cannot coexist. Terror and trade cannot coexist. Water and blood cannot flow together. Operation Sindhur is not just a name but a reflection of the emotions of millions of Indians. It is a resolute promise of justice. On the night of May 6th, and the morning of May 7th, the world witnessed the transformation of this promise into results. India is steadfast in its commitment to protecting its citizens at any cost.
