Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Monday following the significant Operation Sindoor. During his speech, he emphasized the achievements of the Indian Army against terrorism and warned Pakistan sternly that India's fight against terror will persist unwaveringly.

'Operation Sindoor, A Tribute to Our Nation's Women'

PM Modi affirmed, 'India's action against Pakistan is merely postponed.' He saluted the courage of the Indian forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists on behalf of all citizens. Our brave soldiers have displayed extraordinary valor in achieving the objectives of Operation Sindoor, and today, I dedicate their courage to every mother, sister, and daughter of our nation.'

'Given Full Freedom to the Forces'

He recounted how the atrocities committed by terrorists in Pahalgam on April 22 shocked the nation and the world. Innocent civilians, on holiday, were ruthlessly killed before their families. This was an attempt to disrupt the nation's harmony, and personally a profound agony for me.

In the aftermath of this terrorist attack, the entire nation, including all political parties, was united in demanding stringent action against terrorism. We gave our armed forces complete freedom to thwart the terrorists. Today, every terrorist organization knows the consequences of threatening our sisters and daughters.

'PAK Seeks Global Support After Severe Setback'

Modi stated, 'Operation Sindoor is not just a name but a reflection of the emotions of millions of Indians. It embodies our unbreakable pledge for justice.' He noted that after India's actions, Pakistan scrambled to find an escape, pleading around the world. On May 10, the Pakistani military contacted our Director General of Military Operations. By then, we had significantly dismantled the terrorist infrastructure, executing terrorists and leaving the terror hubs in Pakistan in ruins.

'India's Response Only on Hold'

Further, the PM stated, 'When Pakistan pleaded for restraint and assured no further suicidal attacks, India did consider it.' He emphasized, 'Our retaliatory actions against Pakistan's terrorist and military establishments are only on hold. In future, we will evaluate Pakistan's actions with a keen perspective.'

PM Defines New Normal

PM Modi indicated that post-surgical and airstrikes, Operation Sindoor now defines India's policy against terror. It has set a new benchmark—a new normal in the fight against terrorism. First, any terrorist attack on India will be met with forceful retaliation. We will respond on our terms, with decisive action at every root of terror.

Second, India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail. We will target and neutralize terror hubs thriving under the shadow of nuclear intimidation.

Third, we will not distinguish between terror-supporting governments and the masterminds of terror. During Operation Sindoor, the world witnessed when Pakistani military officials attended funerals of slain terrorists, exhibiting state-sponsored terrorism. We will continuously take decisive actions to protect India and its citizens from any threats.

Pakistan Nurturing Terrorism to Its Detriment

Targeting PAK, the PM said, 'The Pakistani army and government, by nurturing terrorism, are paving the path to their own destruction. For Pakistan's survival, it must dismantle its terror infrastructure; there is no other path to peace. India's stance is unequivocal—terror and talks cannot coexist, nor can terror and trade. Just as water and blood cannot flow together.'

Addressing the international community, PM Modi stated, 'I affirm that our declared policy has been, if dialogue happens with Pakistan, it will be centered on terrorism. If discussions occur, they will focus on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, PoK.'

In closing, PM Modi reminded, 'Today marks Buddha Purnima. Lord Buddha showed us the path to peace, yet the path to peace travels through strength. To progress towards humanity, peace, and prosperity, every Indian must live peacefully, fulfilling our vision of a developed India. For this, India's strength is crucial, and if necessary, its use is essential. Recently, India has demonstrated this truth effectively.'
