In the village of Badhra in Haryana’s Charkhi-Dadri district, a migrant worker from West Bengal was beaten to death. It is alleged that people from a cow protection group attacked the victim on suspicion of consuming beef. The police have arrested five people from the cow protection group in this case, along with two minors. This tragic incident occurred on August 27.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini commented on the incident. He stated that strict laws have been enacted to protect cows, which is non-negotiable. He pointed out the deep faith and emotions people have for the Holy Cow and noted that when such information surfaces, the villagers tend to react. CM Saini added that such lynching incidents are unfortunate and should not happen.

The police reported that the cow vigilantes suspected that the victim had consumed beef. In this case, Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljeet, and Sahil from the cow protection group called the victim, Sabir Malik, to a shop under the pretense of buying empty plastic bottles and then assaulted him. After some people intervened, the assailants took Sabir Malik to another location and beat him again, which led to his death.

She called for justice to be served and alleged that countless individuals like Sabir have been killed due to the hatred incited by the BJP.
