Following the ruthless murder of her husband Saurabh Rajput in Meerut, Muskan ventured on a Himachal tour with her lover Sahil. Initially, they spent a few days in Manali before relocating to Kasol where they nested for six days in their hotel room. Room No. 203 was their refuge.

The hotel manager, Aman Kumar, reported on Saturday that Sahil and Muskan traveled by taxi with a driver. Generally, tourists flock to Kasol to explore new places and savor its natural beauty, but this couple curiously stayed in their room all day, stepping out by car only once, which seemed peculiar.

Aman Kumar noted that Muskan and Sahil avoided interacting with others. They refused housekeeping services, engaging only in essential dialogue and ordering meals to their room, albeit collecting them from the doorstep. During checkout, they revealed their journey from Manali, intending to head back to Uttar Pradesh next.

On March 3rd and 4th, after committing the murder of Saurabh Rajput, dismembering his body, and encasing it in cement within a blue drum, Muskan Rastogi (27) and Sahil Shukla (25) arrived in Kasol on March 10th. After residing there for six days, they checked out on March 16th and returned to Meerut on March 17th. Muskan celebrated Sahil's birthday on March 11th.

A video of Sahil's birthday celebration emerged, capturing Muskan feeding Sahil cake. Another video surfaced showing Muskan and Sahil drenched in colors, lost in Holi celebrations under the influence. A police team from Meerut visited Manali and Kasol in Himachal Prague for investigation.

Saurabh Rajput's postmortem report has surfaced, uncovering the barbarity inflicted by Muskan and Sahil. It revealed the horrifying truth: Saurabh’s head was severed from his torso, wrists sliced, legs bent awkwardly. This suggests the futile attempt to insert an intact body into the drum before dismemberment.

The autopsy attributed death to shock and severe bleeding. The doctors cited that Saurabh’s heart endured three fierce stabs, pointing to continuous aggressive assault. A doctor described, "Fierce long knife thrusts penetrated deep within the heart." Ayush Vikram Singh, Superintendent of Police, verified the report.

The SP stated, "Muskan delivered ruthless blows to Saurabh’s heart causing it to rupture; the neck and both palms were severed, dividing the body into four parts to fit the drum." The medical team elaborated on the grim attempts to conceal the body in detail, recounting the immense effort spent in extricating it encased in cement, which stopped decomposition due to lack of air.”
